Welcome to Samantha Paola Morillo’s site. Life is a wonderful gift, full of precious memories that should never be forgotten. Now these memories can be shared so that you too can enjoy them forever.
I will always remember July 29, 2004. That's the first day I suspected I was pregnant. I remember I had taken my Bar Exam, and afterwards, went to the grocery store to buy a celebratory pint of ice cream. I bought the pregnancy test as well, and took the test the next morning. And I was right! That was on a Friday, July 30th. Pablo and my one year wedding anniversary was on that Monday, August 2, so I kept the secret to myself. It was so hard, especially when I asked him what he wanted for the anniversary, and he said a baby. I could barely contain my grin!
Monday proceeded like any day. He went to work, and I had a class to attend. He picked me up at the train station, and off we went to dinner. Before getting to the restaurant we stopped in a Barnes & Noble. While there I got several baby books, and when it came time to check out, he asked me why I had those. I just told him, "if we're going to have a baby, we're going to need to pick a name!" His jaw just dropped and he hugged me so fiercely. We could not stop babbling the rest of the evening - like any first-time parents, we were so excited!
Being pregnant was one of the most amazing things I have ever been through. Every kick, every hiccup - it was just astonishing to think of the life that was being created at that very moment.
Samantha was born on March 31, 2005, one week before her due date. And while God called her father, Pablo, too soon, I know he is with us always.
“What Is A Little Girl”
She's a bundle of sweetness, brightness & fun
The beauty of springtime, the warmth of the sun
She's Innocence covered with mud, sand, & soot
She's Motherhood dragging a doll by the foot...
She's a composite picture of giggles & tears
Of tantrums, excitement, amusement & fears
A bundle of mischief and often a tease
A creature of moods not easy to please...
Who'll capture your heart with her pixie-like grin
Or chatter and beg till your patience wears thin
But obedient, naughty, mischievous or coy
She's Mom's little Darling & our Pride & Joy.
